TWO ESSENE GOSPELS by Alan Lewis Silva Copyright © 2023 by Alan Lewis Silva. All rights reserved. ISBN: 978-1-4478-4900-1 THE GOSPEL OF THE HOLY TWELVE Chapter 0 Here begins the Gospel of the Perfect Life of Yahushuah Ha’Mashiak, the offspring of David through Yahusef and Miriam after the flesh, and the Son of Yahuwah, through Divine Love and Wisdom, after the Spirit. From the Ages of Ages is the Eternal Thought. The Thought is the Word, the Word is the Act, and these Three are One in the Eternal Law. The Law is with Yahuwah, and the Law proceeds from Yahuwah. All things are created by Law, and without it is not created anything that exists. In the Word is Life and Substance, the Fire and the Light. The Love and the Wisdom, are One for the Salvation of all. The Light shines in darkness, and the darkness does not conceal it. The Word is the one Life-giving Fire, shining into the world, the fire and light of every soul that enters into the world. I am in the world, the world is in Me, and the world knows it not. I come to my own House, and my friends do not receive Me. But as many as receive and obey, to them is given the power to become the Sons and Daughters of Yahuwah, even to those who believe in the sacred Name, who are born of Yahuwah, not of the will of the blood and flesh. The Word is incarnate, and dwells among us, whose Glory we beheld, full of Grace. Behold the Goodness, the Truth, and the Beauty of Yahuwah! Chapter 1 1. There was in the days of Herod, the King of Judaea, a certain priest named Zachariyah, of the course of Abia. His wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth. 2. They were both righteous before Yahuwah, walking blameless in all the commandments and ordinances of Yahuwah. They had no child, because Elisabeth was barren, and now they were both well stricken in years. 3. It came to pass, while he executed the priest’s office before Yahuwah in the order of his course, according to the custom of the priest’s office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of Yahuwah. The whole multitude of the people were praying outside at the time of the offering of incense. 4. There appeared to him a malak of Yahuwah standing over the altar of incense. When Zachariyah saw, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him. But the malak said to him: Do not fear, Zachariyah, for your prayer is heard. Your wife Elisabeth will bear you a son, and you will call his name Yahuchanan. 5. You will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth. He will be great in the sight of Yahuwah. He will not eat flesh meats, nor drink strong drink. He will be filled with Yahuwah’s Spirit, even from his mother’s womb. 6. Many of the children of Yisrayah he will turn to Yahuwah their Father. He will go before Him in the spirit and power of Eliyah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for Yahuwah. 7. Zachariyah said to the malak: How will I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is well stricken in years. Answering, the malak said to him: I am Gabriyah, who stands in the presence of Yahuwah. I am sent to speak to you, and to announce to you these glad tidings. 8. Behold, you are dumb and not able to speak, until the day these things will be performed. Then your tongue will be loosed, that you may believe my words which will be fulfilled in their season. 9. The people waited for Zachariyah, and marveled that he tarried so long in the temple. When he came out, he could not speak to them. They perceived he saw a vision in the temple, for he made signs to them, and remained speechless. 10. It came to pass, as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house. His wife Elisabeth conceived after those days, and hid herself five months, saying: Thus has Yahuwah dealt with me in the days when He looked on me, to take away my reproach among men.

TWO ESSENE GOSPELS by Alan Lewis Silva THE GOSPEL OF THE HOLY TWELVE Chapter 12 1. The next day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee. The mother of Yahushuah was there, both Yahushuah and Miriam Magdalene were there, and His disciples came to the marriage. 2. When they wanted wine the mother of Yahushuah said to Him: They have no wine. Yahushuah said to her: Woman, what is that to you and to me? My hour is not yet come. His mother said to the servants: Whatsoever He says to you, do it. 3. There were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Yahudim, containing two or three firkins apiece. Yahushuah said to them: Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. He said to them: Draw out now, and bear to the governor of the feast. So they bore it. 4. The ruler of the feast tasted the water that was made wine to them, and did not know where it was from. The governor of the feast called the bridegroom, and said to him: Every man does set forth good wine at the beginning, and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse, but you have kept the good wine until now. 5. This beginning of miracles Yahushuah did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth His glory, and many disciples believed on Him. 6. After this He went down to Capernaum, He, and his mother, with Miriam Magdalene, His brothers, and His disciples, and they continued there for many. 7. There arose a question between some of Yahuchanan’s disciples and the Yahudim about purifying. They came to Yahuchanan, and said to him: Rabbi, He who was with you beyond Yordan, to whom you bore witness, behold, the same baptizes, and all do come to Him. 8. Yahuchanan answered and said: A man can receive nothing, except it is given him from heaven. You yourselves bear me witness, that I said: I am not the Mashiak, I am sent before Him. 9. He that has the bride is the bridegroom. The friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. Thus my joy is fulfilled. He must increase, but I must decrease. He that is of the earth is earthly, and speaks of the earth. He that comes from heaven is above all. 10. Certain of the Pharisees came and questioned Yahushuah, and said to Him: How do you say Adonai will condemn the world? Yahushuah answered, saying: Yahuwah so loved the world, that the only begotten Son is given, and comes into the world, that whosoever believes in Him may not perish, but have everlasting life. Yahuwah does not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world may be saved through Him. 11. Those who believe on Him are not condemned. Those who do not believe are condemned already, because they did not believe in the Name of the only begotten of Yahuwah. Here is the condemnation: the Light is come into the world, but men love darkness rather than light, because their deeds are evil. 12. All those who do evil hate the Light, nor do they come to the Light, unless their deeds are condemned. Those who do righteousness come to the Light, that their deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in Yahuwah. 13. There was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum. When he heard Yahushuah was come into Galilee, he went to Him, and begged Him, that he would come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death. 14. Yahushuah said to him: Except you see signs and wonders, you will not believe. The nobleman said to Him: Sir, come down before my child dies. 15. Yahushuah said to him: Go your way, your son lives. The man believed the word Yahushuah spoke to him, and he went his way. As he was going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying: Your son lives. 16. He enquired of them the hour when he began to amend. They said to him: Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him. So the father knew it was at the same hour in the which Yahushuah said to him: Your son lives. He believed, and his whole house.

TWO ESSENE GOSPELS by Alan Lewis Silva THE GOSPEL OF THE HOLY TWELVE Chapter 24 1. As Yahushuah passed through a certain village He saw a crowd of idlers of the baser sort, they were tormenting a cat they found, and treating it shamefully. Yahushuah commanded them to desist, and began to reason with them, but they would have none of His words, and reviled Him. 2. He made a whip of knotted cords, and drove them away, saying: This earth which my Father-Mother made for joy and gladness, you made into the lowest hell with your deeds of violence and cruelty. They fled before His face. 3. One more vile than the rest returned, and defied Him. Yahushuah put forth His hand, and the young man’s arm withered. Great fear came upon all, and one said: He is a sorcerer. 4. The next day the mother of the young man came to Yahushuah, praying He would restore the withered arm. Yahushuah spoke to them of the law of love, and the unity of all life in the one family of Yahuwah. He said: As you do in this life to your fellow creatures, so it will be done to you in the life to come. 5. The young man believed, and confessed His sins. Yahushuah stretched forth His hand. His withered arm became whole even as the other, and the people glorified Yahuwah who gave such power to man. 6. When Yahushuah departed there, two blind men followed Him, crying and saying: You son of David, have mercy on us. When He came into the house the blind men came to Him, and Yahushuah said to them: Do you believe I am able to do this? 7. They said to Him: Yea, Master. He touched their eyes, saying: According to your faith, be it to you. Their eyes were opened, and Yahushuah straitly charged them, saying: See that you tell no man. But they, when they were departed, spread abroad His fame in all that country. 8. As they went forth, behold, they brought to Him a dumb man possessed with a demon. When the demon was cast out the dumb spoke, and the multitude marveled, saying: It was never so seen in Yisrayah. The Pharisees said: He casts out demons through the prince of the demons. 9. Yahushuah went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, healing every sickness and every disease among the people. 10. When He saw the multitudes He was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. 11. He said to His disciples: The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few, pray to Yahuwah of the harvest, that He will send forth laborers into His harvest. 12. His disciples brought Him two small baskets with bread and fruit, and a pitcher of water. Yahushuah set the bread and the fruit before them, and also the water. They ate, drank, and were filled. 13. And they marveled, for each had enough and to spare, and there were four thousand. They departed, blessing Yahuwah for what they heard and saw.

TWO ESSENE GOSPELS by Alan Lewis Silva THE GOSPEL OF THE HOLY TWELVE Chapter 36 1. On a certain day, early in the morning, Yahushuah came again into the temple. All the people came to Him. He sat down, and taught them. 2. The scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman taken in adultery. When they set her in the midst, they said to Him: Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. In the law Moshe commanded us that such should be stoned, but what do you say? 3. This they said, tempting Him, that they might have to accuse Him. Yahushuah stooped down, and with His finger wrote on the ground, as though He did not hear them. 4. So they continued asking Him. He lifted Himself up, and said to them: He who is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone at her. 5. Again He stooped down, and wrote on the ground. Those who heard it were convicted by their own conscience, and went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even to the last. Yahushuah was left alone, and the woman standing in the middle. 6. Yahushuah lifted Himself up, and saw none but the woman. He said to her: Woman, where are those of your accusers? Has no man condemned you? She said to Him: No man, Master. Yahushuah said to her: Neither do I condemn you. From now on sin no more! Go in peace. 7. He spoke this parable to certain who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: Two men went up into the Temple to pray, the one a rich Pharisee, learned in the law, and the other a tax-gatherer, who was a sinner. 8. The Pharisee stood, and prayed thus with himself: Yahuwah, I thank you that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax-gatherer. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all I possess. 9. The tax-gatherer, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes to heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying: Yahuwah be merciful to me a sinner. 10. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other. Everyone who exalts himself will be abased, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.
5.
TWO ESSENE GOSPELS by Alan Lewis Silva THE GOSPEL OF THE HOLY TWELVE Chapter 48 1. It came to pass as Yahushuah was teaching the multitudes, they were hungry and faint by reason of the heat of the day. There passed by that way a woman on a camel loaded with melons and other fruits. 2. Yahushuah lifted up His voice, and cried: O you who thirst, seek the living water which comes from Heaven, for this is the water of life, whoever drinks does not thirst again. 3. He took five melons of the fruit, and divided them among the people. They ate, their thirst was quenched, and He said to them: If Yahuwah makes the sun to shine, and the water to fill out these fruits of the earth, will the same not be the Sun of your souls, and fill you with the water of life? 4. Seek the truth, let your souls be satisfied. The truth of Yahuwah is that water which comes from heaven, without money and without price, and those who drink will be satisfied. Those whom He fed were one thousand men, women, and children. None of them went home hungry or thirsty, and many who had fever were healed. 5. At that time Yahushuah went on the Sabbath day through the cornfields. His disciples were hungry, so began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat. 6. When the Pharisees saw it, they said to Him: Behold, your disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the Sabbath day. 7. He said to them: Did you not read what David did, when he and those who were with him were hungry? He entered into the house of Yahuwah and ate the showbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those who were with him, but only for the priests? 8. Or have you not read in the law, how on the Sabbath days the priests in the Temple do work on the Sabbath, and are blameless? I say to you: In this place is One greater than the Temple. 9. If you knew what this means: I will have mercy and not sacrifice; you would not have condemned the guiltless. For the Son of Man is Master even of the Sabbath. 10. When He departed there, He went into their synagogue. Behold, there was a man who had his hand withered. They asked Him, saying: Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath day? That so they might accuse Him. 11. He said to them: What man is there among you who will have but one sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? If you give help to a sheep, will you not also to a man who needs it? 12. It is lawful to do well on the Sabbath day. He said to the man: Stretch forth your hand. He stretched it forth, and it was restored whole, like as the other. 13. The Pharisees went out and held a council against Him, how they might destroy Him. When Yahushuah knew it, He withdrew Himself from there. Great multitudes followed Him. He healed their sick and infirm, and charged those that they should not make it known. 14. So it was fulfilled which was spoken by Yeshayah the prophet, saying: Behold my servant, whom I chose. My beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased. I will put my Spirit upon Him, and He will show judgment to the Gentiles. 15. He will not strive nor cry, nor will any man hear His voice in the streets. He will not break a bruised reed, and He will not quench smoking flax, till He brings forth judgment to victory. The Gentiles will trust in His Name.
6.
TWO ESSENE GOSPELS by Alan Lewis Silva THE GOSPEL OF THE HOLY TWELVE Chapter 60 1. Yahushuah spoke to the multitude, and to His disciples, saying: The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moshe’s seat. Observe whatsoever they bid you, observe and do. But do not do after their works, for they say, and not do. They bind heavy burdens, grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders, but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. 2. But all their works they do to be seen of men. They make their phylacteries broad, enlarge the borders of their garments, love the uppermost rooms at feasts, the chief seats in the synagogues, greetings in the markets, and to be called of men: Rabbi, Rabbi. 3. Do not desire to be called Rabbi, for one is your Rabbi, even Mashiak, and all you are brothers. Do not call anyone on earth Father, for on earth are fathers in the flesh only. In Heaven there is One who is your Father and your Mother, who has the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive. 4. Do not desire to be called masters, for one is your Master, even Mashiak. Those who are greatest among you will be your servants. Whosoever will exalt themselves will be abased, and those who are humble in themselves will be exalted. 5. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You shut up the kingdom of Heaven against men, you do not go in yourselves, nor allow those who are entering to go in. 6. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayer, therefore you will receive the greater damnation. 7. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, you make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. 8. Woe to you, you blind guides, who say: Whosoever will swear by the Temple, it is nothing, but whosoever will swear by the gold of the Temple, he is a debtor! You fools and blind, which is greater, the gold, or the Temple that sanctifies the gold? 9. And: Whosoever will swear by the altar, it is nothing, but whosoever swears by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty. You fools and blind, which is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifies the gift? 10. Whoever swears by the altar, swears by it, and by all things on it. Whoever swears by the Temple, swears by it, and by Him who dwells there. He who swears by Heaven swears by the throne of Yahuwah, and by the sacred One that sits there. 11. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You pay tithe of mint, anise, and cummin, yet omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith. These you ought to have done, and not leave the other undone. You blind guides! You strain out a gnat, and swallow a camel. 12. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You make the outside of the cup clean, and the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. You blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, then the outside of those, that they may be clean also. 13. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You are like to whited sepulchers, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but within are full of the bones of the dead, and of all uncleanness. Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but within you are full of hypocrisy and make believe. 14. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchers of the righteous. You say: If we were in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. 15. So you are witness to yourselves, that you do as the children of those who killed the prophets. Fill you up then the measure of your fathers. 16. The sacred Wisdom said: Behold, I send to you prophets, wise men, and scribes. Some of them you will kill and crucify, some of them you will scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city. Upon you will come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zachariyah son of Barachyah, who was killed between the temple and the altar. Verily I say to you, All these things will come upon this generation. 17. O Yahrusalem, Yahrusalem, you killed the prophets, and stoned those who were sent to you. How often I would have gathered your children together, even as a hen gathers her chickens under her wings, and you would not! 18. Behold, your house is left to you desolate. I say to you, You will not see me here again till you say: Sacred, sacred, sacred, Blessed are those who come in the Name of Yahuwah.
7.
TWO ESSENE GOSPELS by Alan Lewis Silva THE GOSPEL OF THE HOLY TWELVE Chapter 72 1. Yahushuah sat with His disciples in the Garden of Gethsemane. He said to them: Do not let your heart be troubled, you believe in Yahuwah, believe in me also. In my parent’s house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would tell you. I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to myself so that where I am, there you may be also. You know where I go, and you know The Way. 2. Thomas said to Him: Master, we do not know where you go, how can we know the way? Yahushuah said to him: I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the All Parent but by me. If you know me, you know my Parent also, and from now on you know and have seen my Parent. 3. Philip said to Him: Master, show us the All-Parent, and it suffices us. Yahushuah said to him: Have I been so long time with you, and yet you do not know me, Philip? He who sees me sees the All-Parent. How do you say, then: Show us the All-Parent? Do you not believe I am in the All-Parent, and the All-Parent in me? The words I speak to you I speak not of myself, the All-Parent who dwells in me does the works. 4. Believe me, I am in the All-Parent, and the All-Parent in me. Or else, believe me for the works I did. Verily, verily, I say to you, Those who believe on me, they will also do the works that I do. And greater works than these they will do, because I go to my Parent. 5. Whatsoever you ask in my Name, that I will do, that the All-Parent may be glorified in the Son and Daughter of Man. If you ask anything in my Name, I will do it. 6. If you love me, keep my commandments. 7. I will pray the All-Parent, who gives you another Comforter, to abide with you forever. Even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it sees not, neither knows, but you know. The Spirit dwells with you, and will be in you. 8. Those who have my commandments, and keep them, these are those who love me. Those who love me will be loved of my Parent. I will love them, and will manifest myself to them. 9. Judas said to Him: Master, how is it you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world? Yahushuah answered, and said to him: If any love me, they will keep my words. The sacred One will love them, we will come to them, and make our abode with them. 10. Those who do not love me do not keep my sayings. The word you hear is not mine, but the All-Parent’s who sent me. These things I speak to you, being yet present with you. The Comforter, who is my Mother, sacred Wisdom, whom the Father will send in my Name, she will teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I said to you. 11. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. You heard how I said to you, I go away, and come again to you. If you love me you would rejoice, because I said: I go to the All-Parent. For the All-Parent is greater than I. 12. I told you before it comes to pass, that, when it is come to pass, you may believe. After this I will not talk much with you, for the prince of this world comes, and has nothing in me. 13. That the world may know I love the All-Parent, as the All-Parent gave me commandment, even so I do. Even to the end.
8.
TWO ESSENE GOSPELS by Alan Lewis Silva THE GOSPEL OF THE HOLY TWELVE Chapter 80 1. Judas, who betrayed Him, repented himself when he saw that Yah’shuah was condemned. He brought the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, saying: I sinned in that I betrayed the innocent blood. 2. They said: What is that to us? See you to that. He cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, departed, went out, and hanged himself. 3. The chief priests took the pieces of silver, and said: It is not lawful to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood. 4. They took council, and bought the potter’s field with them, to bury strangers in. So that field was called Aceldama (that is, the field of blood) to this day. 5. Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Zachariyah the prophet, saying: They weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver. They took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of Him who was valued, whom they of the children of Yisrayah did value, gave them for the potter’s field, and cast them to the potter in the House of Yahuwah. 6. Yahushuah had said to His disciples: Woe to the man who receives the mysteries, and falls into sin afterwards. 7. For such there is no place of repentance in this cycle, seeing they crucified afresh the Divine Offspring of Yahuwah and man, and put the Mashiak within them to an open shame. 8. Such are worse than the beasts, whom you ignorantly affirm to perish, for in your Scriptures it is written, That which befalls the beast befalls the sons of men. 9. All live by one breath, as the one dies, so the other dies. A man has no preeminence over a beast, for all go to the same place. All come from the dust, and return to the dust together. 10. Yahushuah spoke these things concerning those who were not regenerate, having not received the Spirit of Divine Love. They once received the Light, then crucified the Son of Yahuwah afresh, putting Him to an open shame.
9.
TWO ESSENE GOSPELS by Alan Lewis Silva THE GOSPEL OF THE HOLY TWELVE Chapter 84 1. After the Sabbath was ended, and it began to dawn on the first day of the week, Miriam Magdalene came to the sepulcher, bearing the spices she had prepared, and there were others with her. 2. As they were going they said among themselves: Who will roll away the stone from the door of the sepulcher? For it was great. When they came to the place and looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away. 3. Behold, there was a great earthquake. The malak of Yahuwah descended from heaven, rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lighting, and his garment white as snow. For fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. 4. The malak answered, and said to the women: Do not fear. I know you seek Yahushuah, who was crucified. He is not here. He is risen, as He said. 5. Come, see the place where Yahushuah lay. Go quickly, tell His disciples He is risen from the dead. Behold, He goes before you into Galilee, there you will see Him. Lo, I have told you. 6. They entered in and did not find the body of Yahushuah. Then she ran, came to Simon Kepha, and said: They took Yahushuah away out of the sepulcher, and we do not know where they laid Him. 7. They ran, came to the sepulcher, and looking in, they saw the linen clothes lying. The napkin that was about His head was not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped up in a place by itself. 8. It came to pass as they were much perplexed, behold, two malaks stood by them in glistening garments of white, and said to them: Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, He is risen. Behold, He goes before you into Galilee, there you will see Him. 9. Remember how He spoke to you, when He was yet in Galilee, that the Son of Man should be crucified, and that He would rise again after the third day? Then they remembered His words. They went out quickly, and fled from the sepulcher, for they trembled with amazement, and they were afraid. 10. The graves were opened at the time of the earthquake. Many of the saints who slept arose, came out of the graves after His resurrection, went into the city, and appeared to many. 11. Miriam stood outside the sepulcher, weeping. As she wept she stooped down, looked into the sepulcher again, and saw two malaks in white garments, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Yahushuah had lain. They said to her: Woman, why do you weep? 12. She said to them: Because they took away my Master, and I do not know where they laid Him. When she said that, she turned herself back, saw Yahushuah standing, and did not know it was Yahushuah. 13. Yahushuah said to her: Woman, why do you weep? Whom do you seek? Supposing Him to be the gardener, she said to Him: Sir, if you bore Him away, tell me where you laid Him, and I will take Him away. Yahushuah said to her: Miriam. She turned herself, and said to Him: Rabboni (which is to say, Teacher)! 14. Yahushuah said to her: Do not touch me, for I am not yet ascended to my Father, or One with my Mother. Go to my brothers, and say to them: I ascend to my Parent and your Parent, to my Father and your Father. 15. Miriam Magdalene came and told the disciples she saw Yahushuah, that He spoke these things to her, and commanded her to announce His resurrection from the dead.
10.
TWO ESSENE GOSPELS by Alan Lewis Silva THE GOSPEL OF THE HOLY TWELVE Chapter 91 1. In the time after Yahushuah rose from the dead He tarried ninety days with Miriam His mother, Miriam Magdalene who anointed His body, Miriam Cleophas, the twelve, and their fellows, instructing them and answering questions concerning the kingdom of Yahuwah. 2. When it was evening they sat at supper. Miriam Magdalene asked Him, saying: Master, will you declare to us the Order of the Kingdom? 3. Yahushuah answered, and said: Verily I say to you, O Miriam, and to each of my disciples, The kingdom of Heaven is within you. But the time comes when that which is within will be made manifest in the without, for the sake of the world. 4. Order is good indeed, and needful, but before all things is love. Love one another, and all the creatures of Yahuwah. All men will know by this that you are my disciples. 5. One asked Him, saying: Master, will you that infants be received into the congregation in like manner as Moshe commanded by circumcision? Yahushuah answered: For those who are in Mashiak there is no cutting of the flesh, nor shedding of blood. 6. Let the infant of eight days be Presented to the Father-Mother, who is in Heaven, with prayer and thanksgiving, and let a name be given to it by its parents. Let the presbyter sprinkle pure water upon it, according to that which is written in the prophets. Let its parents see to it that it is brought up in the ways of righteousness, neither eating flesh, nor drinking strong drink, nor hurting the creatures Yahuwah gave into the hands of man to protect. 7. One said to Him: Master, how will you when they grow up? Yahushuah said: After seven years, or when they begin to know the evil from the good, and learn to choose the good, let them come to me and receive the blessing at the hands of the presbyter or the malak of the congregation with prayer and thanksgiving. Let them be admonished to keep from eating flesh, from strong drink, and from hunting the innocent creatures of Yahuwah. For will they be lower than the horse or the sheep to whom these things are against nature? 8. Again he said: If there come to us any who eat flesh and drink strong drink, will we receive them? Yahushuah said to him: Let such abide in the outer court till they cleanse themselves from these grosser evils. Till they perceive, and repent of these, they are not fit to receive the higher mysteries. 9. Another asked Him, saying: When will you that they receive Baptism? Yahushuah answered: After another seven years, or when they know the doctrine, do that which is good, learn to work with their own hands, choose a craft by which they may live, and are steadfastly set on the right way. Then let them ask for initiation. Let the malak or presbyter of the congregation examine them, and see if they are worthy. Let him offer thanksgiving and prayer, and bury them in the waters of separation, that they may rise to newness of life, confessing Yahuwah as their Father and Mother, vowing to obey the sacred Law, and keep themselves separate from the evil in the world. 10. Another asked Him: Master, at what time will they receive the Anointing? Yahushuah answered: When they reach the age of maturity, and manifest in themselves the sevenfold gifts of the Spirit, then let the malak offer prayer and thanksgiving, and seal them with the seal of the Chrism. It is good that all be tried in each degree seven years. Nevertheless, let it be to each according to their growth in the love and the wisdom of Yahuwah.

TWO ESSENE GOSPELS by Alan Lewis Silva THE SALVATION OF THE WORLD [1] It was in the days of Herod King of Yahudah that a priest known as Zachariyah. And his wife Elizabeth were found by Yahuwah to be righteous and pure. Thus keeping the sacred Law and its commandments to the letter. But they had no children, Elizabeth being barren, and both well into the years of life. Zachariyah’s duty was to burn incense in the temple of the True Yahuwah. It was at this time a malak of Yahuwah appeared to him, saying: Have no fear, Zachariyah, for your prayer was heard, and answered, for surely your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, even Yahuchanan, you will call his name. You will have much gladness and rejoicing, for many will welcome his birth. Yahuchanan will be great in the eyes of Yahuwah. He will eat no animal flesh, nor drink strong drink at any time; he being filled with the Sacred Spirit even from his very beginning, from his mother’s womb. For a certainty, many of the children of Yisrayah he will turn back to the True Yahuwah of Love, for he will be sent by HIM in the same spirit and power of Eliyah. To make ready a sacred people prepared for Yahuwah. Zachariyah said to the archangel Gabriyah: I am an old man, and my wife is old also, tell me, how is this to take place? Gabriyah, one of the seven glories of the True Yahuwah Eternal, spoke to Zachariyah, informing him of his son to come. It came to pass, after a time, Elizabeth conceived. Even a son as the malak foretold to be named Yahuchanan. Now Yahuchanan in his coming manhood would be educated in the sacred Law of Yahuwah, he being the promised forerunner and announcer of the sacred Mashiak. It was in the sixth month the sacred Gabriyah was again sent by Yahuwah to a certain place of Galilee to a virgin named Miriam, espoused to a man of the royal line of David, whose name was Yahusef. Now Yahusef was sacred and pure minded, skilled in the trade of woodworking and stone masonry. Miriam was gentle and kind, with a discerning mind, and humble spirit before Yahuwah. Both were pronounced good and sacred before Yahuwah. Of them was Yahushuah, who is later called the Savior, or Mashiak. Thus Gabriyah came to Miriam, and said: Behold, Miriam, you are highly favored of Yahuwah, for the Motherhood of Yahuwah is surely with you. Blessed are you among women, for blessed will be the fruit of your womb. Miriam beheld the glorious malak of Yahuwah, she was confused at his saying, and wondered what manner of salutation this should mean for her. Understanding her mind, Gabriyah spoke to her, saying: Do not fear, Miriam, and do not be troubled with your thinking, for you found favor with Yahuwah. Behold, you will conceive in your womb, and bring forth a sacred child of the Most High. He will be great, and will be called a Son of the Highest Order. For a certainty the All-Eternal One will give to Him alone the very throne of His father David. He will rule over all the house of Yaacob forever. Of His kingdom there will be no end, it will reign in peace eternal. Gabriyah spoke further to her: The sacred Spirit, even the Mother of Wisdom, will come upon Yahusef, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you. O Miriam, that which will be born of you is sacred, even Mashiak, the Child of Yahuwah. On earth His name will be called Yahushuah, for it is He who will save the people from bondage to sin, even all those repenting and obeying His sacred Laws. O Miriam, eat no animal flesh, nor drink strong drink, for the sacred child will be consecrated to the All-Eternal from its mother’s womb. He will eat no animal flesh, nor strong drink, or drink in any form, nor will a razor ever touch His head. The malak Gabriyah spoke further: Behold, your cousin Elizabeth, she has conceived a son in her womb, even of old age she will bring forth, this being the sixth month with her, she who was called barren. I say to you, with Yahuwah no thing will ever be impossible. At that, Miriam said: Behold the handmaid of Yahuwah, be it to me according to your sacred words.

TWO ESSENE GOSPELS by Alan Lewis Silva THE SALVATION OF THE WORLD [5] One day certain ones of the Pharisees questioned Yahushuah, and said to Him: Why do you say Yahuwah will condemn the world? Yahushuah answered them, saying: The Eternal One loves the righteous seed in the world. The only begotten Son comes into the world, that whosoever believes in Him may not perish, but inherit everlasting life. Yahuwah did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but that through Him the world may be saved from bondage to death and sin. I tell you, truly, those who believe on Him sent are not condemned. Those who do not believe condemn themselves, because they did not believe in the name of the only begotten of Yahuwah. This is the condemnation, the Light is come into the world, but men love darkness rather than light. Light exposes the darkness, so all evil deeds are made manifest for every eye to see. All those who do evil hate the light, for the light is good. They do not come to the light, unless their evil deeds are exposed and condemned by the sacred Law. Those who work righteousness come to the Light, for they are drawn to it out of love for all that is pure and sacred, that their deeds may be made manifest, approved by Yahuwah. They will shine forth with the light, and conquer the evil with the good. The Pharisees were silent at His words of wisdom, and dared not question Yahushuah further at that time, for indeed their own evil deeds condemned them as workers of lawlessness, and they feared greater exposure, as many were the people who heard Yahushuah’s words. Yahushuah continued to travel with many disciples to various regions of Yisrayah, where He amassed believers of the sacred Law. Many listened to Him, were astonished, and believed truly in their hearts that He was the Son of Yahuwah, the promised deliverer of the enslaved earthly race of man. Yahushuah healed every ailment and disease among the sick, even teaching the people there of true health reform according to the natural laws of nature. Yea, He taught the people healing properties of plants, even every herb and grass of the field, the power hidden in stones, and the cleansing miracle of pure water. Many were amazed, believed, and were healed. Yahushuah amazed entire households with His great wisdom and understanding, and helped many to the sacred way of life. Yahushuah taught the clean diet of man and beast, and taught even the sacred Law on health that all may know and learn true salvation. He named every fruit Yahuwah gave to man as food, and every vegetable Yahuwah gave to the beasts and birds of the earth. Yea, Yahushuah even spoke of the fishes, and told every household with ears sacred truths of the sacred Way. Many were the listeners who obeyed His words from that time on.

TWO ESSENE GOSPELS by Alan Lewis Silva THE SALVATION OF THE WORLD [8] Yahushuah saw the multitudes. He was moved with deep compassion for them, because they were without knowledge of the sacred Laws of Yahuwah, but were in bondage to the profane laws of lusts, even to Satan the evil one. It was then He said to His disciples: The Harvest is truly plentiful, but the laborers are few. Pray to Yahuwah of the Harvest, that He will send forth more laborers into His Harvest. I tell you, The blind guides lead the sons of men into death, for how does the blind lead the blind in any other manner? Yea, they are the children of darkness, where no light can dwell. They take many with them into the depths of hell, for they speak only according to the lie, the profane laws of Satan, inventor of every disease and plague. Yahushuah’s disciples prayed for more laborers to be sent into the Harvest, for they understood Yahushuah’s words, that the Pharisees and scribes were misleading the multitudes of Yisrayah, they being many, but the True Prophets being few. His disciples brought Him two small baskets of bread, fruit, and a pitcher of fresh water. Yahushuah set the bread, the fruit, and also the water, before the multitude. They all ate, drank, and were filled. The disciples marveled, for each had enough and to spare, and there were four thousand among them numbered. Yahushuah said to them: So also will it be with the Harvest. Although the Harvest is indeed plentiful, few laborers will gather in the Harvest, and yet all will be filled and satisfied. None will hunger nor thirst for righteousness, that will not be fed. Out from a little a great multitude will be fed, and out from a great multitude the little will be replenished. Know the very malaks of Yahuwah are the reapers of the Harvest. They lead the sacred ones to every seed of Yahuwah, spread out over the earth, even as the four sacred winds above. Yea, they make the light to shine forth, the sheep see the light, and know it comes from Yahuwah. You are the light-bearers of the sacred Way. By your light, the roadway will be made clear for the righteous seed to follow you. Let your light shine forth and be seen, for no man covers a lantern with a sack, because the light is hidden. Know you are the light of the world, and my sheep look to your light. Feed my sheep even as the Good Shepherd commands you, for my malaks will deliver to you many in want of the Mashiak, and his Truths. Feed my sheep, yea, feed my little lambs. All those listening to Yahushuah’s words departed, shouting praises of joy to Yahuwah for all they heard and saw. It came to pass that one day, seeing the multitude awaiting Him, Yahushuah went up into a mountain. The twelve chosen as apostles came to Him. Yahushuah was seated, lifted up His eyes on His disciples, and said to them: Blessed in sacred Spirit and in spirit are the poor of the brethren. They are the Elect of Yahuwah. Theirs is the Kingdom of Yahuwah, where they will rule over the sons of man as Kings and Priests. Blessed are those who mourn because of all the evil that works against the innocent creatures of Yahuwah, they will be comforted. Blessed are those who keep the Light-filled Law of Love. They are the meek who will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after all that is righteous and sacred. They will find Truth, and be ever filled. Blessed are the merciful. They will obtain and grant mercy, even as gods.

TWO ESSENE GOSPELS by Alan Lewis Silva THE SALVATION OF THE WORLD [12] It came to pass Yahushuah was again teaching His disciples in the outer courtyard of the Temple, and one of them said to Him: Master of all knowledge, please tell us of this saying among the priests of the Temple. They say that without shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins. Can the blood offerings of the law they obey take away sin, and wash clean? Knowing the law of Moshe was corrupted by the scribes, who even Yermeyah and Yeshayah spoke of, Yahushuah said these words to His disciples: See the Temple, the house of Yahuwah? You know that thousands of innocents are killed and offered up daily, their flesh consumed by men as unlawful food. The Prophets cried out with loud voice that no blood offering, of beast or bird, or man or woman, can take away or wash sin clean! I say to you, How can the conscience be purified from sin by the shedding of innocent blood? No, it will only increase the condemnation, for it is sin against the sacred law Yahuwah gave first to Adam, Enoch, and Noah. There can be no remission of sins save by repentance and amendment only! The prophet wrote: Put your blood sacrifices to your burnt offerings, and away with them. Cease from the eating of flesh. I did not speak to your fathers when I brought them out of Egypt, nor command them concerning these things. This thing I commanded, saying: Obey my voice, walk in the sacred Laws I command you, and you will be my people. But they did not hearken, nor incline their ear. What does the Eternal Being command you, but to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with Yahuwah? This indeed is the pure oblation! Is it not written that in the beginning Yahuwah ordained the fruits of the trees, seeds, and the herbs, to be food for all flesh? Yea, it is written, but they made the House of Prayer a den of thieves and merchants. For the Pure Oblation with Incense they polluted My altars with blood, and ate the flesh of the dead! So, I say to you, Shed no innocent blood, nor ever eat flesh. Walk uprightly, love mercy, and do justly. If you are Light-filled, and keep my laws and commands, your days will be long and pleasant in the earth. Good health will cling to you even into old age of many years. Behold, the corn that grows. with the other grain, is it not transmuted by the Spirit into my flesh? Behold the grapes with the other fruits of the earth, are they not transmuted by the Spirit into my blood? Let these be your Memorial to the Eternal All, with your own bodies and souls. In these only is the presence of Yahuwah manifest as the Substance and as the Life of the world. I tell you, of these you will freely eat and drink for the remission of sins, and for the eternal life ahead.

TWO ESSENE GOSPELS by Alan Lewis Silva THE SALVATION OF THE WORLD [15] Yahushuah continued to interpret the sacred Law. His disciples listened to Him with great interest, and were astonished by His love. He said to them: Yea, if a man tells the truth to his neighbor in such a way as to lead him into evil, even though it is true in the letter, he is guilty. Walk in the spirit, and thus you will fulfill the law in the letter, and be made ready for the Kingdom. Let the Law be unwritten within your own hearts, rather than on tablets of stone memorial. In this manner be perfect, as which things nevertheless you ought to do, and not to leave the other things undone. I say to you again, The Law I gave to you is sacred, just, and good. Blessed are all those who obey, and walk in it. I tell you truly, Yahuwah is Spirit. Those who worship Yahuwah must worship in spirit and truth, at all times, in every place under the sun. Whosoever listens to my words, and keeps the sacred Law pure, and undefiled, will inherit rich rewards in this life, and everlasting life in the world to come. Yahushuah lifted up His voice, and cried aloud: O you who thirst, seek the living water which comes from Heaven. This is the water of life, whoever drinks thirsts no more. As you behold the waters of the very sea that washes and purifies all in it, know also the waters from above are life to your soul. The living waters of truth are sweet and refreshing, which the righteous bathe in, and delight in the All-Peace. Yea, when you learn the mysteries of Yahuwah, you will know the waters of life, and every secret of nature hidden in the creations of the Father-Mother. All is in Them, and Them in all.

TWO ESSENE GOSPELS by Alan Lewis Silva THE SALVATION OF THE WORLD [18] Then one of Yahushuah’s disciples asked Him, saying: We believe what you tell us, Master, but did the All-Parent create everything small and great as we see before us today? Yahushuah said to them further: Listen, you will learn the secrets of life. All life comes from the Eternal Spirit, and lives because of Him. The All-Parent did not bring forth all things you see before you today, nor of those things which you do not see, and do not know exist. I say to you this hour, in the beginning of the great Household of Life, the All-Parent contained all things and all life, without beginning and without ending. He Was, and Is. The Eternal Spirit desired to not be alone, but to give life abundantly. Thus He willed into being the First Mother, sacred Wisdom, the sacred Spirit of the All-Parent. The Father-Mother Yahuwah together willed into being many creations, both visible and invisible. Yea, great are the wonders of the All-Parent, and little known to earthly man. Again one of His disciples questioned Yahushuah further, and said to Him: Tell us, Master, was it the Father-Mother-Yahuwah, then, who brought Adam forth on earth? Yahushuah answered him, and said: The Eternal Spirit brings forth the Mother, sacred Wisdom, to create the invisible creatures first. The Mother is the sacred Spirit, or breath of Life. Then came the second Father, whom you see before you this hour. Together the sacred Mother and the second Father brought forth the sacred arch-malaks first, and many other malaks according to station and rank. No thing comes into being, unless the First Father knows of it to be. He is in all things, and all things in Him. Those who have ears, give ear to hear. The Elohim of the Trinity of the Eternal Spirit created and brought forth the earthly man in the likeness of the All-Parent. Know then, the female is in the male, and the male is in the female, for this is the sacred nature of all things brought forth. There are female spirits, and male spirits. The world does not know of these secrets, they are beyond the knowledge of man, for great are the mysteries of the One Whom you call Yahuwah. Even malaks do not know all things of the unapproachable light whereby this ONE dwells. He is One Alone, and there is no other like this ONE, known as the ONE and ALL in all things, and the All in One of everything sacred. Do not be troubled, nor work your minds for nothing, the Knowledge of this One is sufficient for you this hour. I was sent by this ONE to reveal the All-Truth for man and god. What I reveal is satisfying to your souls, for the mystery is sacred. Only the Seed of Yahuwah knows the meaning of it, and keeps the faith of the one sent forth by the ALL-Parent.

about

Recent archaeological discoveries of the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Nag Hammadi Library have revealed a larger than previously known body of Christian and Messianic literature.
For many, these and other findings lead us to wanting to learn more about the Holy Bible and related events. Since much of Christianity's early church history and spiritual literature seems to have been ignored or even condescended by religious gatekeepers, we are still left wanting to know more.
There is a saying, "We don't know what we don't know," and there is a parallel saying, "The application of knowledge is power."
Two Essene Gospels includes in this volume The Gospel of the Sacred Twelve and The Salvation of the World.
This book has been carefully and lovingly edited by Alan Lewis Silva.
The overall format is organized and the font is easy to read.
This Essene Gospels Bible is offered non-judgmentally without any interest in changing anyone's belief system.
This book is a gift of spiritual fruit from an author with some talents, who is a born-again Christian.
